CoPc and CoPcF16 on gold: Site-specific charge-transfer processes
نویسندگان
چکیده
Interface properties of cobalt(II) phthalocyanine (CoPc) and cobalt(II) hexadecafluoro-phthalocyanine (CoPcF16) to gold are investigated by photo-excited electron spectroscopies (X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS), ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy (UPS) and X-ray excited Auger electron spectroscopy (XAES)). It is shown that a bidirectional charge transfer determines the interface energetics for CoPc and CoPcF16 on Au. Combined XPS and XAES measurements allow for the separation of chemical shifts based on different local charges at the considered atom caused by polarization effects. This facilitates a detailed discussion of energetic shifts of core level spectra. The data allow the discussion of site-specific charge-transfer processes.

Quantitative Immobilization of Phthalocyanine onto Bacterial Cellulose for Construction of a High-Performance Catalytic Membrane Reactor
We report the fabrication of a tetra-amino cobalt (II) phthalocyanine (CoPc)-immobilized bacterial cellulose (BC) functional nanocomposite, CoPc@BC, by quantitative immobilization of CoPc onto a BC membrane. Lab-cultured BC was oxidized by NaIO₄ to generate aldehyde groups on BC for the subsequent CoPc immobilization, the processing conditions were optimized by monitoring both the generated ald...
متن کاملQuantum Theoretical studies of Nanostructures onto Hydrogen Adsorption on V-surface
We have studied the adsorption processes of H2 on the V (100) surface of Vanadium using self consistent field theory.Dissociative adsorptions of H2 are significantly favored compared to molecular adsorptions. There is a significant charge transfer from the first layer of the vanadium surface to the Hydrogen atoms. Three possible adsorption sites, top, bridge and center site, were considered in ...
متن کاملElectronic charge transfer between ceria surfaces and gold adatoms: a GGA+U investigation.
We use density functional theory calculations with Hubbard corrections (DFT+U) to investigate electronic aspects of the interaction between ceria surfaces and gold atoms. Our results show that Au adatoms at the (111) surface of ceria can adopt Au(0), Au(+) or Au(-) electronic configurations depending on the adsorption site. The strongest adsorption sites are on top of the surface oxygen and in ...
متن کاملCopC protein from Pseudomonas syringae: intermolecular transfer of copper from both the copper(I) and copper(II) sites.
The CopC protein from Pseudomonas syringae pathovar tomato is expressed as one of four proteins encoded by the operon CopABCD that is responsible for copper resistance. It is a small soluble molecule (10.5 kDa) with a beta-barrel structure and features two distinct copper binding sites, which are highly specific for Cu(I) (K(D) > or = 10(-)(13)) and Cu(II) (K(D) approximately 10(-)(15)). These ...
متن کاملTheoretical study of the interaction of harmful heroin molecule with N-doped TiO2 anatase nanoparticles
Density functional theory calculations were carried out to study the interaction of heroin molecule with pristine and N-dopedTiO2 anatase nanoparticles. The oxygen atom of heroin molecule was found to be the binding site on the heroin molecule. In contrast, the binding site of TiO2 nanoparticle was positioned over the fivefold coordinated titanium atoms. The results showed that the adsorption e...
